Privacy Policy
Last updated September 3, 2026 · Covers this website, the VeloxQuant-MLX library, and the VeloxQuant Studio macOS app.
Short version: VeloxQuant-MLX runs entirely on your own Mac and sends nothing anywhere. VeloxQuant Studio needs an account (email + password) to unlock the app, handled by a third-party authentication service — that's the only place your personal data goes. Everything else — your models, your prompts, your job history — stays on your machine. This page explains exactly what's collected and why.
1. The VeloxQuant-MLX library
VeloxQuant-MLX is a Python library you install and run yourself. It does not phone home, does not require an account, and does not send your models, prompts, or outputs anywhere. Everything it does happens inside your own Python process, on your own machine.
2. VeloxQuant Studio (the macOS app)
VeloxQuant Studio is a native control panel that drives VeloxQuant-MLX for you — pick a model, pick a compression method, run it — without touching a terminal. Here's what it collects and where each piece goes:

The app never uploads your models, prompts, or job logs. The only network calls it makes are to our authentication provider, to sign you in and keep your session valid. Everything else it does — running VeloxQuant-MLX, reading and writing model files, storing your job history — happens locally on your Mac.
3. What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your data with third parties.
- We don't run ads or ad-tracking of any kind.
- We don't read or transmit your model files, prompts, or generated output.
- We don't require an account to use the VeloxQuant-MLX library — only the Studio app does.
4. This website (veloxquant-mlx.netlify.app)
This site uses privacy-focused, cookieless analytics to count page views. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't build a cross-site profile of you, and doesn't collect anything that identifies you personally. It's aggregate traffic counts only (which pages get visited, roughly how often) — the same category of information any web server log already contains.
5. Your account and data
You can delete your VeloxQuant Studio account and its associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below. Deleting the app from your Mac also removes all locally stored job history, model references, and cached settings immediately — none of that is retained anywhere else.
6. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects what's collected, we'll update the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, call it out in the release notes of the next app version.
